LONDON ENGINES TERMS & CONDITIONS

The supplied engine is a 'bare unit' consisting of cylinder head(s), cylinder block, sump, and all internal components. It may be rebuilt at our discretion. If we don't have a suitable unit in stock, we may rebuild your original engine at our discretion. Ancillary components are supplied at additional cost, or alternatively supplied by the customer if you wish (these components will be fitted at no additional cost).

The customer may supply their own components, if a customer has supplied their own components; the customer takes responsibility to ensure the components are correct before delivery is undertaken by us. We offer no warranty for parts supplied by the customer and accept no liability when customer supplied substandard parts are installed and cause damage to the engine. We supply engines on an exchange basis and all rights and title to the customer’s original engine are passed to us. When any ancillary components are replaced, and a service exchange arrangement applies, all rights and title to the items removed pass to us.

Should an occasion arise under the following circumstances: vehicle is not collected within 3 days of completion of works or invoice not being settled in full and (where opted), relevant parts not supplied by customer within 5 days post mechanics inspection. We will store the vehicle without liability to the company until the vehicle is collected and/or payment made in full. Should this occasion arise 'storage' will be added to the final invoice and charged daily at £25 (+vat). If the vehicle has not been collected within 1 month from the date of completion of works , the company reserves the right to dispose of the vehicle in compliance with Torts (Interference Of Goods) Act 1977 without prejudice to its right to claim compensation for both work carried out and any storage charges. The time period quoted for completion of works is approximate and does not take account of any delays. Whilst it is of mutual interest to complete works at the earliest. Should you require the vehicle delivered back to you, this facility is available at additional cost.

Before bringing your vehicle to us, or before collection by transporter, please remove all items of value from the vehicle and ensure it is properly insured, as we do not accept responsibility for any items lost or damaged. All our Recon. Engines come with a Warranty of 6 months, from the date of completion of the work. If the Company accepts within warranty period that it has failed to execute the Services in accordance with the express terms of the contract, the Company may, at its option, perform again such of the services as have not been carried out in accordance with the express terms of the contract or repay the Customer the charge for such of the services as have not been so performed (provided such charge shall have been paid to the Company by the Customer). The company shall not in any circumstances be liable for any damages, compensation, costs, expenses, labour costs, losses or other liabilities, whether direct or consequential, and any other remedy which would otherwise be available in law is hereby excluded except to the extent that such exclusion is prohibited by any rule of law.

A claim under this Warranty shall not entitle the customer to cancel or refuse payment. This warranty shall not apply where:

• The defect or fault is attributable to defective materials supplied by third parties where the Customer's only remedy will be against that third party;
• The vehicle has been used for competitions, racing or record attempts (raved over 4000RPM) or otherwise than for private or commercial use.
• The vehicle has been abused in any way or damaged by wear and tear, neglect, rust or failure to maintain in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
• The vehicle has been damaged in any subsequent accident.

All Warranties are non transferable, the warranty is available only to the original purchaser of the unit. Full service records must be retained for inspection and will be required in the event of a warranty claim. In the unlikely event of a possible warranty claim, the vehicle must be delivered at the owner's expense For engines, the warranty covers the engine block, cylinder head and all internal components. The warranty does not cover the water pump, diesel pump, fuel injector, turbo charger, timing components, flywheel, clutch or any other components that happen to be affixed to the unit. The vehicle must be returned without any work carried out on Engine by any third party. This is customer’s responsibility to carry out oil service at 1000 & 5000 miles from London Engines after we replace engine & keep the service record.
